Choose the correct category
Select the category and sub-category that accurately reflect your profession. Claiming a scope you are not qualified for is the fastest route to rejection.
Provide your information
Identity, qualifications, registration and practice details. Clear, legible scans move faster than photographs of photographs.
Review
DropDr checks what you submitted. Where something is missing you are told exactly what, rather than being left to guess.
Build your profile
Areas of practice, languages, service areas, consultation formats, a professional photograph and an introduction patients will actually read.
Set price and availability
Publish your consultation fee and decide when you appear as available. Both stay under your control afterwards.

Manage incoming requests, consult, and issue prescriptions, certificates and referrals through the professional workflow.

The profile is your first consultation.
Patients decide from what they can see. A thin profile is chosen less often than a complete one, regardless of how good the clinician behind it is.

- List every language you can genuinely consult in
- Be specific about your areas of practice
- Add a clear, current professional photograph
- State which formats you offer and which areas you cover
- Keep your availability honest — appearing online and not answering costs you ratings

Request a categoryHow long does verification take?
It depends on how complete your submission is. A complete application with legible documents moves quickly; a missing registration number or an unreadable scan is what usually causes delay. You are told what is outstanding rather than left guessing.
What if my application is rejected?
You are told why. Where the issue is fixable — a missing document, an expired registration — you can correct it and resubmit. Where a professional does not meet the requirements, the answer is no, and that is what protects patients and your colleagues.
Do I need to be in private practice?
No, but you need to be entitled to practise independently and to consult patients in your own name. Employment arrangements that restrict this are between you and your employer — worth checking before you apply.
What happens when my registration expires?
Your ability to appear as available is blocked until current registration is confirmed. This is not an administrative preference — listing a professional whose registration has lapsed would expose patients and DropDr both.
Can I change my category later?
Yes, subject to review. If you add a scope of practice, expect to provide the qualification that supports it.
Is there a contract?
Yes. You accept the provider terms and a data processing agreement during onboarding. The data processing agreement is a POPIA requirement, not boilerplate — it sets out your obligations when handling patient information.
