View categoryHow a home visit is arranged.
Home visits involve someone coming to your address, so the process carries a few extra steps that protect both you and the professional.
Full home visit guideVerify your profile
Home visits require a verified patient profile — an identity document and a photo confirming it is you. This protects the professional who is travelling to a private address.
Choose the service
Pick the specific service you need. Each has a fixed price set by the professional, shown before you book.
Set the address and time
Give the full address plus a map pin, a preferred date and time, and any notes the professional needs — gate codes, access, who will be present.
Pay and confirm
Payment is completed up front and held until the visit is delivered. The professional accepts or declines the booking.
Confirm completion
After the visit, both sides mark it complete. Only then are funds released to the professional.
Safeguards on both sides
A visit to a private home needs more care than a video call. These controls apply to every home visit on DropDr.
Verified patients
Home visits are only available to patients who have completed identity verification.
Registration checks
Care providers submit professional registration and qualifications during onboarding.
Funds held until delivery
Payment is held and released only once both parties confirm the visit took place.
Fixed service prices
You see the price for the specific service before booking. No hourly surprises.
Reported no-shows reviewed
If a professional does not arrive, you can report it and DropDr reviews the booking.
Scope of practice
Care providers work within their registered scope and refer onward when something falls outside it.
